HAND PAINTED SNEAKERS COLLECTION ABOUT A CITY...

This collection features my authorial vision, not only inspired, but also integrative of elements in floral and geometric patterns that decorate the edges or braces of «moliceiros», «bateiras» and «mercanteis», traditional boats of Aveiro region, in Portugal.
At the same time, I gave relevance to the currencies of builders, molds and different configuration of these vessels.
From the varied colour palette, present in these vessels, I emphasized the red and blue colours because they are repeated endlessly on the exterior, interior and details. Also the white and black were adopted because they are constant in the backgrounds and in the structure and contours of the drawings. To these, I added characteristic elements of the fauna and flora of the estuary.
I also had in mind the presence of Art Nouveau in the region. And finally, the almost squares that the salines form or even the salt hills.
In the tongues ​​of the sneakers decoration was freer.
This work was developed for the White A&C/UbberWhite brand so you can find the sneakers on sale here after being launched in a Fashion Show over the estuary in the center of the city of Aveiro on seventeen of July.
COLECÇÃO DE SAPATILHAS PINTADAS À MÃO SOBRE UMA CIDADE...

A presente colecção apresenta a minha visão autoral, não só inspirada, mas também integrativa de elementos presentes nos padrões florais e geométricos, os quais decoram os bordos ou cintas dos moliceiros, bateiras e mercanteis, barcos tradicionais da região de Aveiro, em Portugal.
Simultaneamente, eu dei relevância às divisas dos construtores, moldes e à configuração distinta destas embarcações.
Da paleta variada de cores, presente nas referidas embarcações, valorizei o vermelho e o azul por se repetirem incessantemente no exterior, interior e detalhes. Também o branco e o preto foram adotados por serem constantes quer em fundos planos de cor, quer na estrutura e contornos dos desenhos. A estes foram acrescentados elementos da fauna e flora característica da ria.
Tive ainda em consideração a presença de Arte Nova na região. E, por último, as quase quadrículas que as salinas formam ou ainda, os montes de sal aí presentes.
Nas línguas das sapatilhas a decoração foi mais livre.
Este trabalho foi desenvolvido para a marca White A&C/UbberWhite pelo que os sneakers estarão à venda aqui após o lançamento no desfile Aveiro Moda a acontecer a dezassete de Julho sobre a Ria no centro da cidade de Aveiro.
